Two killed in Southeast Bakersfield crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Two people are dead and others are injured after a crash in Southeast Bakersfield on Sunday night.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash near East Panama Lane and South Fairfax Road at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. 

CHP says a Nissan pickup truck was driving westbound on eastbound lanes when it crashed into a Honda Accord. Both drivers died at the scene, while four passengers in the Accord were taken to Kern Medical with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
