BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol says the man who was killed in a crash on Interstate 5 on the Grapevine was not wearing a seat belt.
According to the CHP, a person driving a Chevy Silverado made a sudden turning movement, going right then left on I-5 Sunday afternoon. The truck collided with the center concrete median, continued over the wall and then went down an embankment.
The truck rolled down the embankment, causing the 47-year-old driver from Clovis to be ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
