BACK IN BUSINESS: Shafter growing through industry

Shafter working to add jobs at industrial park

For more than 100 years Shafter has had it's roots in oil and agriculture. As they start their second century, Shafter city officials are working to add a third industry to support their economy. 

23ABC's Scott Sheahen talked with Shafter city manager, Scott Hurlbert, about how the city is working to bring in more companies and more jobs to Shafter. Hurlbert said the city added a city rail system into the industrial park, a container yard and cross dock for the local businesses and installed fiber network through the industrial park and city.
