BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 99 Cents Only store in Olive Dr in Bakersfield has closed temporarily due to a recent fire.

According to the Public Health Department, there was a fire in the store overnight on July 14th. The department was called out to the business for an "emergency response" after the fire, which is not typical.

Collectively, the business owners, fire department and public health agreed it was in everyone's best interest if the business remained closed until necessary repairs were made.

The Public Health Department was required to post a sign on the front door announcing the closure due to the fact that the business provided food service.
