The Bakersfield Blaze will get at least one more game at Sam Lynn Ballpark after clinching a playoff spot in their win over the San Jose Giants last night, 15-7.

With five games left in the regular season, the Blaze's win, combined with a Visalia and Modesto loss, allowed the team to clinch a playoff spot and lowered their magic number down to one.

A Blaze win or Visalia Rawhide loss in any of the remaining games will give the Blaze the second half North Division title.

San Jose will host the first playoff game on September 7, while the Blaze will host Game 2 at Sam Lynn on September 8. If necessary, Game 3 would be hosted by the Blaze on September 9.
