Bakersfield Boys and Girls Club unveils new fence

Local youth non-profit unveils new fence
Posted

The Bakersfield Boys and Girls Club unveiled the new look for their Learning Garden Thursday.

The Armstrong Youth Center held their “Fix the Fence” ribbon cutting ceremony. The chain link fence surrounding the center’s garden has now been replaced with wrought-iron fence.

The new fence will be safer for children.

Funds for the new fence came from efforts by City Councilmember Chris Parlier and Russell Johnson along with the Kiwanis Club of South Bakersfield earlier this year.
