The Bakersfield California Highway Patrol was busy over the Thanksgiving holiday cracking down on suspected drunk drivers. 

On Monday, The Bakersfield CHP announced that it made 43 arrests for DUI during the Thanksgiving maximum enforcement period which ran from Wednesday through Sunday.

It also investigated one death.
