BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) — The Bakersfield City Council is scheduled to discuss using funds from Measure N to conduct a city wide study on street lights.
The study would remove and replace 163 existing street lights with more powerful lighting at different intersections in Bakersfield.
A similar study was conducted last year and found that areas with better lighting see a reduced amount of crime and car crashes.
