BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Tension and anxiety may be running high in the wake of the recent mass shootings across the country. And one local school is helping the community prepare in the event of an active shooter on campus.
Bakersfield College is hosting active shooter response training on Thursday at noon. They're inviting students and the public to join the training which will be located at the Levan Center for the Humanities on campus.
BC's Department of Public Safety will be conducting drills, exercises, and teaching participants the best practices in the case of an active shooter.
