Bakersfield College to host summer camps for kids interested in sports

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — If you're looking to keep your kids active during the break, Bakersfield College Athletics Department is hosting a few summer camps!

Whether it's tennis, basketball or volleyball the college is inviting out all kids and young adults.

Below is info on the college's upcoming summer events and registration links:

  • Bakersfield Junior Tennis Circuitis intended to empower junior tennis players and parents in order to increase player's skill level and help them learn and enjoy the game. The first 40 participants to register will receive a complimentary membership to the Junior Tennis Circuit. Opening Day is Saturday June 15.
  • BC Basketball Academies will be hosted by Coach Paula Dahl and the Bakersfield College Women's Basketball program. The first, the BC Basketball Academy, will run from Monday, July 22 through Thursday July 25 from 10:30am to 1:00pm each day.
  • Renegade Volleyball Camps There will be a total of four camps intended for 8th to 12th graders with a minimum level of experience. There will also be a coaches clinic. The camps will focus on either setting, attacking, and serving.
