Today, Friday September 29, 2017 is National Coffee Day! In years past, National Coffee Day was all about either getting a discount on that cup of joe or simply getting it for free, however this year's National Coffee Day is a bit different for some. 

Cafe Smitten in Bakersfield is commemorating the big day by giving the proceeds of sales to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. 

Now, some deals on coffee across Bakersfield include Dunkin Donuts, which is offering free coffee when you buy another medium or large coffee. Krispy Kreme is offering a free hot coffee of any size or a small iced coffee. 

McDonalds is also participating by offering a two dollar special on small McCafe coffee's all day.
