The Bakersfield Fire Department continues to battle the fire that has burned over 62 thousand acres, according to Cal Fire, with only 29 percent of it contained. The Ferguson Fire has taken lives of two people and caused nine injuries to date.

BFD Firefighters have been battling the fire since July 14 and have continued to work tirelessly to control the fire. Nevertheless, BFD Firefighters continue to remain in good spirits according to the fire department.
