The Bakersfield Fire Department battled a grass fire on the Panorama Bluffs on Wednesday.

BFD says their crews responded to the area east of Manor Street just before 3 p.m. Firefighters were able to control the fire in about 25 minutes, preventing it from reaching any structures. 

Close to five acres were burned. The cause is under investigation.
