The Bakersfield Fire Department has received $20,000 from the California Water Service's 2nd Annual Firefighter Grant Program.
The BFD was one of the multiple agencies across the state to receive the grant.
In all Calwater says they provided nearly $150,000 to different departments.
The money for city fire will go towards the purchase of a utility terrain vehicle.
