BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Becoming a part of the Bakersfield Fire Department can be a long journey and on Tuesday, January 8, the department started their 22-week training.
11 recruits wake up bright and early for their training followed by a full of day of activities that will prepare them mentally and physically to work in the field.
