BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Tuesday, March 12 in the area of 9 Quincy Street.

According to fire officials, at just after 4 p.m., units arrived to find an attic fire in a single story home. While extinguishing the fire, crews conducted searches for occupants and found that there were no occupants inside.

They then began to complete efforts to preserve the property and contents. There were no injuries reported, but three people were temporarily displaced as a result of the incident.

Officials are investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
