Bakersfield Junior Police Academy accepting applications

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department has partnered with the Bakersfield Police Activities League to host several Junior Police Academy sessions this summer.

BPD says the mission of the Junior Academy is to provide the recruits with a foundation of Law Enforcement, while enhancing their social skills to become more productive students and community members.

They say the academy’s focus will be leadership, accountability, and problem solving.

Ages 11-13:
June 10 - July 3, 2019 from 7:45a.m.-12:00p.m.

Bakersfield Police Activities League, 301 East 4th St.

Bridge Church, 12225 Stockdale Hwy.

Friendship House, 2424 Cottonwood Rd.

Ages 14-17:
July 15 – August 7, 2019 from 7:45a.m.-12:00p.m.

Bridge Church, 12225 Stockdale Hwy.

Applications are due May 3 at the Bakersfield PAL, 301 E. 4th St.
