A Bakersfield man accused of raping two women back in September took a plea deal today.
Abel Lopez pleaded no contest to rape by force or fear and assault with intent to commit rape by force or fear. All other seven charges were dropped.

Bakersfield police arrested Lopez in connection with the assault on New Stine Road and on Kirksdale Drive.
Bakersfield police were sent to a home in the 1100 block of New Stine Road and in the 5700 block of Kirkside Drive regarding a report of burglary and sexual assault. The suspect stole the victim's vehicle which was later recovered Santa Maria.
Lopez will be sentenced on June 28th.
