Bakersfield Marathon on Sunday to impact several GET bus routes

The Bakersfield Marathon, which is scheduled for Sunday, November 12, 2017 will be impacting several GET bus routes between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

According to GET, several stops between California State University, Bakersfield to downtown Bakersfield College will be impacted.

Bakersfield College routes that will be impacted include 21, 41, 43, 44, and 8. The routes will not stop on Panorama Drive, but they will stop on University Avenue near the stadium parking lot until 12 p.m. 

There will also be several routes that will not stop at CSUB all day. Those routes include 21, 22, 61, and 82. 

Route 21 will not operate on California Ave. west of Oak and on Stockdale Highway from California Ave to CSUB until 10 a.m. The detour will from Chester Ave. between Garces Circle and Roberts Lane. 

Route 22 may be delayed between Downtown Bakersfield and Oildale, 

Both Route 42 and Route 61 will not operate on 21st Street and Westwind Dr. until 10 a.m. They will both be detoured to West Columbus and Oildale.
