BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Museum of Art will reopen to the public on Oct. 27, with operating hours on Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and extended hours to 8 p.m. on every first Friday of the month.
BMoA closed its on-site operations and modified all calendared events beginning in March of this year in response to state and local health department requirements designed to contain the spread of COVID-19.
BMoA visitors can expect physical distancing markers and signage throughout exhibition spaces, hand sanitizing stations, increased cleaning in common spaces, and masks worn at all times by staff and visitors, in compliance with state and local requirements.
On view at BMoA, visitors can see Black & White: Photographs from the Julie Riegel and Suzette Clerou Collection. Also on view is Memoirs of Illusion: Selections from the Students in the BMoAArtworks Program.
