Bakersfield National Cemetery will honor unaccompanied veterans with a special ceremony.

An unaccompanied veteran is anyone who has been buried at the cemetery without honors or family. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 20 at 10 a.m. at the cemetery located at 30338 E. Bear Mountain Boulevard in Arvin.

Unaccompanied veterans are honored during the third Thursday of the last month of each quarter. Future ceremonies will be held on:
