Bakersfield native and former NFL player, Anthony McClanahan, was formally charged with killing his wife on Monday.
McClanahan was charged in Park City, Utah for killing his wife in their condo on Nov. 2. Investigators said Keri "KC" McClanahan, 28, was found stabbed to death.
Investigators said McClanahan was recently arrested on unrelated child kidnapping charges and for being a fugitive from justice. He is considered the primary suspect in his wife's death.
McClanahan played football at Bakersfield High School before going on to play for the Dallas Cowboys and the Canadian Football League.
McClanahan is due in court on Nov. 20.
