Over the years Bakersfield's own Kevin Harvick has made a name for himself as one of the best drivers on the NASCAR circuit. But he's also turned heads as a philanthropist.
On Wednesday the Kevin Harvick Foundation officially opened its fourth field in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and Cal Ripken Baseball. Harvick helped open the park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
"As a NASCAR driver, being able to give back is something for me is one of the most powerful things that we get to do. And I always tell people, the power of people shows in these types of projects and on behalf of the Kevin Harvick Foundation I'm so excited to see the finished project," said Harvick.
In 2016 the Kevin Harvick Founday opened a multi-purpose park in Harvick's hometown of Bakersfield.
