Bakersfield native Sergeant Tyler Tinsley to be transported to Basham Funeral Care on Monday

24-year-old Sergeant Tyler Tinsley was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton and was killed on his motorcycle near the base on the morning of September 30, 2016.

The Frontier High School graduate is from Bakersfield but was initially taken to a mortuary in Fallbrook, California.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Tinsley, daughter Railyn, son Dalton, parents Shelly and Michael, brother Bradley and sister Reese.

If you are traveling on northbound Highway 99, please expect delays as Sgt. Tinsley will be transported to Bakersfield from Fallbrook around 10:45 a.m. with expected arrival at Basham Funeral Care at 12:45 p.m.

A visitation will be held at Basham Funeral Care on Tuesday, October 11 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Baptist Church (4800 Fruitvale Ave.) followed by a Memorial Service at National Cemetery in Arvin at 2:00 p.m.
