BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Bakersfield native, U.S. Navy Fireman Alan Romo, is serving his country in the East China Sea aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS McCampbell.
In the photo above, Romo is seen checking the quality of fuel on the weather deck.
The McCampbell is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
