BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — 23ABC spoke to Bakersfield Pastor Manuel Carrizalez regarding the recent incidents of violence in Kern County. He said consistency is the key as it relates to keeping people off the streets and away from gang culture.

Carrizalez, who is a former gang member said that he's had enough of the violence in Kern County.

"Two little girls were gunned down. I've done a lot of funerals in the last 30 years, but like I said on Friday, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Of dealing with this violence. In a way, this whole block should be packed with I'll just say, believers. Just keeping it real. I have been doing this too long. Enough is enough."

He said the community needs to come together and stand up against the violence that is happening.
