The Bakersfield Planning Commission will hold a meeting open to the public tomorrow, Friday, September 2 at City Hall.
They will review changes made for plans to build a retail, commercial, medical and light industry center in the vacant field on the northwest corner of the intersection at Brimhall and Coffee Roads.
The project, known as the Bakersfield Commons, includes plans for industrial facilities, a movie theater, medical center, a driving range for golfers, and housing and apartment units for single-family and senior residents, to utilize the empty space south of the old Kern power plant.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall South, located at 1501 Truxtun Avenue.
