The Bakersfield Police Activities League teamed up with Target to give away free school supplies to children in grades kindergarten through sixth on Friday August 11th.
The giveaway required students to sign-up previous to the giveaway, but spots were available for children who wanted free school supplies to receive them.
Target and PAL gave away pencil boxes, colored pencils, notebooks among other back to school supplies.
Representatives with Target and Bakersfield PAL hoped the give away would give children more motivation to continue with their education.
