Bakersfield Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection to a burglary Monday morning. It happened around 9 a.m. 

Police officers were headed to an attempted burglary on Brandy Court in south Bakersfield when they got a call about an in-progress burglary in the 1300 block of Canyon Court near S. H St and Fairview Rd. 

When police arrived the suspect took off and a short chase ensued. 

The boy was taken into custody a short time later. 

The boy's name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
