Bakersfield Police arrest eight in undercover prostitution sting

Bakersfield Police arrested several people in an undercover prostitution string at a local hotel.

On August 23, BPD's Vice Unit busted a Bakersfield hotel in an undercover operation, targeting internet prostitution.

Eight people total were arrested and booked on prostitution charges, five for misdemeanors and two others for misdemeanor loitering for the purpose of prostitution charges, according to BPD.

Additionally, one person was arrested and booked for misdemeanor prostitution of methamphetamine and resisting arrest.

BPD said the operation was part of the Department's ABC Grant Assistance Program funded by California ABC.
