District Attorney's Office will release man suspected of murdering his brother

UPDATE (April 12, 2017 5:05 p.m.): After an autopsy it was determined that Randy Adams died of apparent natural causes. Ronnie Adams has been released. The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE (April 11, 2017): Ronnie Adams will be released before midnight. The District Attorney's Office has kicked the case back to the Bakersfield Police Department due to the autopsy not being completed.

(April 10, 2017 10:45 a.m.) : The Coroner's office has identified the victim as 61-year-old Randy Wayne Adams of Bakersfield. The cause and manner is still pending.

On Friday April 7th, Bakersfield Police Department officers responded to the area of Christmas Tree Lane and Panorama Drive for the report of a deceased male inside an apartment.

Officers located and arrested Ronnie Adams of Bakersfield for his involvement in the
homicide.

Adams has been booked into the Kern County Jail for first-degree murder. He is currently being held without bail and is expected to be in court on Tuesday. 

The investigation is ongoing.
