Bakersfield Police arrest three men accused of burglarizing two businesses in SE Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Three men have been arrested after allegedly burglarizing two neighboring businesses in Southeast Bakersfield.

According to Bakersfield Police, on Tuesday around 3 a.m., 30-year-old Marcos Aguiniga, 30-year-old Sonny Villa (age 30) and 20-year-old Ezekiel Rodriguez forced their way into Divine Power and Quality Flooring which are both located on East Belle Terrace.

Police responded to the business after a burglary alarm went off. When BPD arrived on the scene, two of the suspects tried to run away but were both caught following a short chase, according to officials.

The investigation also revealed that the suspects also broke into a trailer parked on the property and stole tools when they were interrupted by officers.

All three suspects were arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy. Aguiniga and Villa were also arrested for resisting arrest.

Officials said that Villa also had two outstanding felony arrests warrants for burglary and Rodriguez had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant for theft.
