The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a suspicious package at their headquarters.  Officials said early Sunday morning they discovered someone threw an unknown package over their parking lot fence on Eye Street near Truxtun Avenue.  Since the package was partially sealed, they called out their bomb squad a precaution. Officials said Eye St. was temporarily shut down while they investigate. Officials have since opened the road.
