The Bakersfield Police Department issued misdemeanor citations to people providing minors with alcohol during a recent operation.

BPD says on May 17, minor decoys contacted customers outside several local businesses and asked them to purchase alcohol for them. Three adults were issued misdemeanor citations for providing alcohol to a minor.

One of the offenders was also found to have a misdemeanor warrant. The operation was funded through BPD's grant from Alcohol Beverage Control.
