On November 15, 2016, Bakersfield Police Department Vice Detectives and agents from the Alcoholic Beverage Control conducted a "Minor Decoy" operation at businesses in the greater Bakersfield area.
Investigators utilized an underage decoy to attempt to buy alcohol at local businesses licensed by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control office.
A total of 23 businesses were visited and all 23 turned the decoy away. The businesses and employees are to be commended for their continued efforts to curb underage drinking.
This operation was funded through the Alcoholic Beverage Control GAP grant.
