The Bakersfield Police Department is holding a free car seat safety check Saturday in Bakersfield.
Certified car seat technicians who will check car seats for correct installation, proper size for the child, proper restraint, the condition of the car seat, any damage and the expiration.
The event is free and will be held at the Friendship House which is located at 2424 Cottonwood Road in Bakersfield.
The event is happening from 10 a.m. to 1:00p.m.
