Today, the Bakersfield Police Department is hosting their 34th Annual Memorial Run
The event will honor officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
Proceeds from the run go directly to the assistance of paying college tuition for children of fallen Bakersfield Police Department personnel, and to reassure our local heroes that their children will be taken care of in the event of a tragedy.
The event is happening at The Park at Riverwalk between 8:00 am and 10:00 am.
It costs $30 to sign-up for the race.
