BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department kicked off its 2nd annual HalLAWeen trick-or-treat event at their headquarters.
The event took place from 4 p.m. 6:30 p.m. and was free of charge for the public.
The police department transformed its headquarters into a walkthrough of different character-themed rooms.
Some of the rooms included Toy Story, Disneyland, Stranger Things and Dr. Seus’s themed room, filled with treats and surprises.
BPD officials tell 23ABC that they had over1300 attendees this year and with the some new features.
Trick-or-Treaters were able to receive treats in 18 rooms and visit with characters. As for the older attendees, there was a gun simulator set up for zombie target practice and a spooky Haunted House of Terror.
BPD officials say that they hope to continue this tradition for Halloweens to come.
