BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a suspicious death in East Bakersfield.

According to BPD, officers received reports that a person was dead in the area of Bright Shadow Lane near Kern Canyon Road.

BPD said the death was suspicious. Officers are still on the scene.
