BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The BPD issued a statement on Tuesday morning regarding the protests that happened Monday night in Southwest Bakersfield, thanking the organizers for their efforts.
The protests took place near the intersection of Panama Lane and Wible Road from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
"The Bakersfield Police Department appreciates the efforts the organizers took to ensure the safety of both the demonstrators and the public during this event," said the statement.
In a previous statement, the BPD had thanked the organizers of Sunday night's protest near Ming and Wible roads as well.
