Bakersfield Police Department makes arrest in connection to a series of burglaries

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department announced that they have made an arrest in connection to a series of burglaries that hit local businesses. Among the locations hit were Guarantee Shoe Center and Kern Schools Federal Credit Union on Chester Avenue, Citizens Business Bank and Skarphol and Associates on 17th Street, and Ganong Law on Truxtun Avenue.

Arrested in the case was 29-year-old Joseph Michael Salazar, who was taken into custody on Wednesday. Evidence obtained during the investigation connected Salazar to all five burglaries.
