Bakersfield Police Department searching for man accused of entering a home and performing lewd acts next to sleeping teenage girl

UPDATE (October 17 at 2:53 p.m.): BPD has released this composite and description of the man wanted for entering a home on Belle Terrace and performing lewd acts next to a high school aged girl's bed.

Officials describe the suspect as a Black man, 30’s, dark complexion, 6’00” tall, slim build, short black hair, unshaven, wearing an orange long sleeve shirt and black shorts.


ORIGINAL STORY: The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a man wanted for burglary and annoying or molesting a child.

Police said the incident happened on Saturday October 12, in the 5000 block of Belle Terrace near New Stine Road.

Officials said around 1:30 a.m. the suspect went into the victim's home through an unlocked front door.

The victim, a high school aged girl, was asleep in her bed when she was woken up by the suspect standing next to her bed performing lewd acts.

The suspect took off on foot.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s with a dark complexion. Officials say he is approximately six feet tall with a slim build, he was unshaven and had short black hair. He was last seen wearing an orange long sleeve shirt and black shorts.
