BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Officials say a shooting in Southeast Bakersfield left one man with minor injuries shortly before 8 p.m.

The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a black man, who allegedly shot another man on South Tulare Street near East California Avenue.

BPD said it is not clear whether the man fled on foot or in a vehicle.

Based on initial reports, BPD said it does not appear that the suspect and victim knew each other.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6 feet four inches tall, with a thin build.
