The Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Section conducted a DUI and Driver's License Checkpoint Saturday night near Oak and 18th Streets.
Between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m., BPD says 1,278 vehicles were screened by officers and seven drivers were evaluated to check their sobriety levels.
One arrest was made for driving under the influence of marijuana. 28 drivers were cited for no driver's license or driving with a suspended license.
