Bakersfield police arrested a 50-year-old man Friday afternoon near the Capri Motel with a sawed-off shotgun.
At about 11:40 a.m.m Bakersfield police officers were sent to the Capri Motel located at 2020 Union Ave. regarding a man behind the motel armed with a sawed-off shotgun.

Officers said they found a man matching the description originally provided by the reporting party.
Officers contacted the suspect identified as, 50-year-old Bakersfield resident Anthony Hodge, and recovered a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition as well as methamphetamine and a methamphetamine smoking pipe. Hodge was arrested on multiple firearm and drug charges and booked into the Kern County Jail.
