Bakersfield Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Bakersfield. 

Officials said around 6 a.m. Sunday they received reports of a victim in the roadway in the 4200 block of Garnsey Lane which is near Real Rd. and Palm St. 

When officers arrived on scene they found an adult man with gunshot wounds. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Detectives are still on scene investigating. 

No suspect information has been released. 

Officials said this shooting remains under investigation.
