BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting in central Bakersfield that left a man injured Monday evening.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, around 5 p.m. Monday officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 500 block of Union Avenue near E. 6th St.
When officers arrived they found a man with minor to moderate gunshot wounds. The victim is expected to survive. No suspect information was readily available.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call BPD at 327-7111.
