Bakersfield Police Department responded to a bank robbery in Southwest Bakersfield Monday afternoon.
Police received a call from the bank just before 1:30 p.m.
Officials said a man with a firearm entered the building near California Avenue and Stockdale Highway, took money, and fled in an unknown direction.
Police are still searching for the suspect who was described as 50 to 60 years old, 5'8" to 6'0" tall, and 220 to 250 pounds.
He was last seen in sunglasses and a beige straw hat. He has a mustache and beard.
