Bakersfield Police are investigating a shooting officers believe occurred in east Bakersfield.
Officials said around 5:15 Sunday morning officers responded to Baker St. and Lincoln St. for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived they searched the area, but could not find any victims or a crime scene.
Less than 10 minutes later Kern Medical notified police a man had arrived at the hospital with at least one gunshot wound.
The man told officials the shooting happened near Baker St. and Sumner St., however officials were not able to find a crime scene at that location either.
The man had moderate injuries, but is expected to survive.
There is no suspect information at this time.
