UPDATE (5:15 p.m.): BPD says it was a false call. No arrests were made.

ORIGINAL: Bakersfield Police are investigating what they are calling an "unknown situation" at an apartment complex in southwest Bakersfield.

A large police presence was seen at the complex, located on Brookfield Loop. 

A BPD officer said that a female called police and told officials that her brother had her at gunpoint.

Police also said that the suspect was "suicidal."

BPD has released very little details at this time. We have a crew on scene, check back for details.
